The call for applications (with its attachments) for admission to the 41st cycle PhD courses was issued by Rector's Decree no. 2586 of 05.06.2025 and can be accessed on the "bandi di ammissione" page of the University portal (https://www.unina.it/didattica/post-laurea/dottorati-di-ricerca/bandi-di-ammissione)

The online procedure for the submission of the application will be active from 8:00 a.m. on Monday, 9 June 2025 and will be accessible at the link https://pica.cineca.it

The deadline for submitting applications is 7 July 2025 at 12.00 (Italian time)

 

The PhD course has an expected duration of 3 years.

Positions for the PhD in Earth, Environmental and Resources Sciences:

  • Scholarships funded by the university: 7
  • Scholarships funded by other public or private bodies: 1 (funded by INGV)
  • Positions without scholarship: 1

The research projects to which the selected PhD students may be assigned are shown below. Only one PhD student will be assigned to each project. The candidates may request further information and/or details on the specific research activities from the proposing professors.

 Development of advanced methods for processing environmental geochemical data for the modelling of diffuse contamination processes and source discrimination (Proposer: Stefano Albanese)

  • Modelling of the response of large karst aquifers of the Southern Apennines to short- and long-term rainfall variations (Proposer: Vincenzo Allocca)
  • AI implementation of cultural heritage legacy protection, the Museum Ignazio Cerio Case Study (Proposer: Pasquale Raia)
