The Fondazione International Research School of Planetary Sciences, in collaboration with Leonardo, is pleased to announce the International Summer School in Earth Observation, taking place from 6 to 10 July 2026 at the Telespazio Fucino Teleport โ Fucino Space Centre, Italy.
This one-week training programme is designed for students, early-career researchers, young professionals and scientists interested in Earth Observation, satellite data, remote sensing applications and space-based monitoring of the Earth system.
Through lectures, hands-on sessions and dedicated training activities, participants will explore how EO technologies and data can support scientific, environmental and applied challenges.
During the week, participants will focus on:
๐ฐ๏ธ Earth Observation missions, sensors and data
๐ป EO software tools and real-world dataset applications
๐ฑ Precision farming and environmental monitoring
๐ก SAR, InSAR, DInSAR and advanced interferometry
๐ Ground motion, disaster management, volcanology and earthquakes
๐๏ธ EO applications for cultural heritage
๐ค EO services and the Abruzzo Aerospace District
