The goal of this course is to strengthen students’ understanding of the fundamental principles of experimental petrology, enabling them to interpret magma genesis, differentiation, and ascent processes, and to critically analyze experiments developed to simulate lava flow emplacement and evolution, as well as pyroclastic fall and flow emplacement mechanisms.
