The Fondazione International Research School of Planetary Sciences, in collaboration with Leonardo, is pleased to announce the International Summer School in Earth Observation, taking place from 6 to 10 July 2026 at the Telespazio Fucino Teleport – Fucino Space Centre, Italy.
This one-week training programme is designed for students, early-career researchers, young professionals and scientists interested in Earth Observation, satellite data, remote sensing applications and space-based monitoring of the Earth system.
Through lectures, hands-on sessions and dedicated training activities, participants will explore how EO technologies and data can support scientific, environmental and applied challenges.
During the week, participants will focus on:
🛰️ Earth Observation missions, sensors and data
💻 EO software tools and real-world dataset applications
🌱 Precision farming and environmental monitoring
📡 SAR, InSAR, DInSAR and advanced interferometry
🌋 Ground motion, disaster management, volcanology and earthquakes
🏛️ EO applications for cultural heritage
🤝 EO services and the Abruzzo Aerospace District
