Marine Geology: what is it about?
Marine Geology is the study of the history and structure of the ocean floor.
It is a scientific discipline that is concerned with all geological aspects of the continental shelves and slopes and the ocean basins. It involves geophysical, geochemical, sedimentological and paleontological investigations of the ocean floor and submarine features. Marine geology has strong ties to geophysics, physical oceanography and societal aspects. Final project using real geophysics data for Site Surveying target.
