The studies are carried out by means of multidisciplinary approaches combining geomorphological (topography analysis, topographic surveys, field surveys, aerial photo interpretation, 2D and 3D fractal analysis;  InSAR data analysis techniques), stratigraphic (trenches and borehole executions and sampling, logs), sedimentological (granulometric, textural and morphoscopic analysis), palynological and paleontological (integrated biostratigraphic and palaeocolologic analysis).

- Map of faults showing evidence of activity during the late Quaternary in the southern Apennines
- Ancient coastline reconstructions along the Campania and Basilicata coast (MIS 7, 5 and 1)
- Paleoclimatic and paleoenvironmental history of lacustrine basins of southern Italy
- Morphosedimentary, stratigraphic, paleoecological and geochemical characterization aiming to the reconstruction of evolutionary dynamics of Mediterranean coastlands and lagoons
- Analysis of hydrogeomorphological and morphosedimentary aspects of dam-river-coast systems in Mediterranean climate areas
- Chronostratigraphy of marine and continental sedimentary sequences through distal tephra layers characterization
- Development of software for paleontological, palynological, stratigraphic, geomorphological, granulometric data and fractal analyses
- Coastal hazard evaluation along the Campania rocky sea cliffs and sandy littorals
- Coastal defence and recovery techniques, dune ridge restoration, search forsubmarinesandquarries, littoral dewatering, recovery of artificial basins
