By integrating Earth Science and Archaeological methods, Geoarchaeology allows investigating the recent history of our territory. The main aims are reconstructing the palaeoenvironmental and palaeogeographical changes that affected the landscapes and highlighting the complex interaction between man and environment during the last millennia. The strict collaboration with researchers of other scientific and humanistic disciplines allows obtaining a wide and complete framework of the landscape evolution around an archaeological site. The multidisciplinary approach integrates direct and indirect data, and involves: analyses of sediments in excavation trenches and boreholes (sedimentology, morphoscopy and morphometry, micropaleontology and palynology); tridimensional reconstruction of buried and underwater paleosurfaces and paleomorphologies by integrating surface and subsurface data, sonar and seabed surveys.

- the ancient landscape of Parthenope and Neapolis from the foundation to modern times
- human induced morphodynamic changes of the landscape around Elea-Velia
- the coastal landscape of southern Calabria from the Bronze to the Middle Ages
- man-environment interactions along the coastal areas of southern Italy
- changes in the vegetational ladscape: natural vs human induced forcing
- times and modes in the evolution of the cultural landscape of southern Italy
- morphoevolution of the emerged and submerged waterscape of Sinuessa since Graeco-Roman times
- Neanderthalian and Paleolithic site of the Roccia San Sebastiano cave
- analysis of underwater geoarchaeological data along the Campania coasts for the evaluation of ground vertical motions since the Graeco-Roman Period
